Our Mission

Sicirec realises and supports plantation forestry projects in developing countries.

Next to good revenues from timber, our projects also contribute to:

• biological diversity: by protection and recovery of ecological networks;
• climate: forests store CO2 and counter climatic changes;
• livelihood improvement for the local population: by providing jobs and improving incomes.

Our services

We offer four types of services in the area of sustainable plantation forestry:

• Investments: investments in plantation forestry with ecological added value.

• CO2 compensation: with special plantation forestry projects.

• Charity: protection of tropical forests and support of local people.

• Consultancy: advice for sustainable plantation forestry.

For the execution of our projects we rely on employees with expertise in forestry, ecology, finance and socio-ethics.

We have ample experience with plantation forestry projects in (sub)tropical countries and closely cooperate with expert local partners, governments and populations.

Currently we are realising projects in Bolivia. A large scale plantation forestry project in Ghana has been scheduled. Nature conservation, the establishment of ecological corridors, and livelihood improvement for local people always form an integral part of our approach.
